Your files and input
Every tool runs in your browser. Nothing you enter, upload or generate is sent to our servers, because we don't run any that receive it. Some tools download code libraries when you open them; that fetches software to your device and uploads nothing of yours. The one exception is the contact form, described below.
No accounts
Capsule Tools requires no registration and asks for no email address. We keep no user accounts or user data.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data — page views, which tools are used, and basic session information such as country and device type. It does not identify you personally and we don't link it to any account. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, and its handling of data is described in Google's privacy policy.
On-device storage
Some tools save data locally on your device (in your browser's storage) purely for your own convenience — for example, the game player caches your last game and your progress so you can pick up where you left off. This stays on your device, is never uploaded, and can be cleared from within the tool (or by clearing your browser's site data).
Contact form
If you use the contact form on the About page, the message you type, and the email address if you choose to give one, is sent to Web3Forms, a form service, which emails it to us. We use it only to read and answer your message. To block spam the form uses hCaptcha, which loads only when you start using the form and may set cookies and read basic details about your device. Web3Forms and hCaptcha are separate companies; see Web3Forms' privacy policy and hCaptcha's privacy policy.

Some tools may show recommended products with links to Amazon. If you buy through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Products are chosen because they are relevant to the task, not because of who pays more. Once you reach Amazon, its own cookies and privacy policy apply.
Tips
The "Support us" link goes to Buy Me a Coffee. Tips are optional and handled entirely by them; we never see your payment details.
Cookies
On this site, the only cookies come from Google Analytics, plus hCaptcha if you use the contact form. Amazon and Buy Me a Coffee set their own cookies on their own sites, after you leave ours.
Data sharing
We don't sell your data or give it to anyone. The third parties involved are Google (analytics), Web3Forms and hCaptcha (only if you use the contact form), Amazon and Buy Me a Coffee (only if you click through to them), and Cloudflare, which hosts the site and delivers its pages.
Acceptable use
Our tools process files and content that you provide. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any file you open with them. In particular, our emulators and media players do not provide, host, or link to any games or content — you supply your own files, and should use only games or content you legally own or that are free to use, such as homebrew or public-domain titles.
